Startup Acceleration Program

The 1773 ITU Teknopark Startup Acceleration Program aims to provide entrepreneurs who have just started their entrepreneurial journey or are creating a business idea with the necessary resources to develop, evaluate, and implement their business ideas. The program helps entrepreneurs test their business ideas and understand their marketing potential.

Duration and Steps

The program can last from 2 months to 4 months, depending on the needs analysis of the participating groups, and includes the following steps:

1. Application and Evaluation

Entrepreneurs applying for the acceleration program fill out an application form summarizing their business ideas and business models. The application form provides information about the startups’ business ideas, target markets, and business models. Applications will be evaluated, and entrepreneurs eligible to participate in the program will be selected. Care is taken to choose the most scalable fieldwork groups among the applicant startup teams. EACH PROGRAM PERIOD, ONLY THE GROUPS ARE ELECTED TO THE PRE-DEFINED CAPACITY. Groups that were not entitled to receive support for some time can apply again with their developed projects in the next period if they wish.

2. Entrepreneurship Education

The acceleration program provides entrepreneurship training to applicant startups. The training will help entrepreneurs develop their business ideas, build business models, and cover topics such as business management skills and basic marketing strategies. 70% participation in entrepreneurship training is mandatory to be considered successful in the program.

3. Business Idea Development

Throughout the program, entrepreneurs will gain access to resources to develop and test their business ideas. The program will allow entrepreneurs to build prototypes, gather customer feedback, and test the potential of their business ideas.

4. Mentoring

In the program, entrepreneurs will have access to experienced mentors. The mentors, who work for free, do this voluntarily within the meeting hours they open according to their convenience.

5. Demo Day

At the end of the acceleration program, entrepreneurs present their business ideas to investors and potential customers on a Demo Day. Entrepreneurs can connect with investors, potential partners, and customers at this event.

Other Supports

In addition to these steps, it is also essential that the entrepreneurs of the acceleration program create a community where they can share their ideas, interact with other entrepreneurs, and develop joint projects. Such a community helps entrepreneurs learn from each other, support, and grow together.

It also provides a physical infrastructure, such as a laboratory or workshop, with space and equipment support for entrepreneurs to test, receive feedback, and launch their products or services.

The acceleration program can also provide entrepreneurs a platform to promote and market their ideas, products, or services. This platform can help entrepreneurs interact directly with their customers, collect feedback, and grow their business.

Finally, the acceleration program can provide information and resources to help entrepreneurs build a sustainable business model and fulfill their environmental and social responsibilities.
